Hi, I'm Angie

When I first started my online business, like many new entrepreneurs, I was trying to save money. I thought I was making smart decisions, piecing together different tools and services to get the most bang for my buck. However, what I didn’t realize was that by stacking all of these technologies on top of each other, I was actually setting myself up for a huge mess.

I’ll never forget the day it all came crashing down. I was at my grandmother’s 100th birthday party. We were also having a little celebration of life for my other grandmother, who had recently passed away. While I should have been present and enjoying this special family moment, I found myself in a rental house, in tears at my computer. The Zapier connection between my software had broken, and customers who bought my course weren’t receiving it.

To make things worse, one customer accused me of being a scam. She hadn’t received what she paid for, and I was at a loss. The stress was unbearable, and I realized that the system I had cobbled together was not working.

You Can’t Scale What’s Broken

Here’s one important lesson I learned that day: you cannot scale your business if your tools are broken. Scaling means growing your business and bringing on more customers, but if your systems can’t keep up, it’s impossible to grow.

At that time, I had my cart on one platform, my courses on another, and my email list on yet another. They were all connected through Zapier, and when the Zaps broke, so did my business. That was the turning point when I realized I needed a simpler solution.

The Power of One Platform

I made a decision then and there: I was done with Zapier and done with managing multiple platforms. I wanted one place to manage everything. I needed a system where customers could easily access their courses, receive automated emails, and pay—all in one place.

That’s when I discovered the power of having a single platform. I created Simple Funnels, a customized solution designed for coaches and course creators like me. It’s built on top of High Level, an amazing platform, and it does everything I need in my business. Now, my customers can log in, view their courses, and make purchases without any glitches. No more tech headaches!

What You Need to Simplify Your Business

If you’re a course creator or a coach, you might be feeling the same frustrations I did. Here’s how you can simplify your business and avoid the mess I found myself in:

1. List Your Needs
: Sit down and write out everything you need to run your business. For example, I needed a place to host my courses, a simple storefront, and an integrated email system.

2. Find a Unified Platform
: Research and find a platform that can do most, if not all, of these tasks. Having one program to manage everything saves time, money, and stress.

3. Commit to Learning
: Once you’ve chosen your platform, commit to learning it inside and out. It may feel overwhelming at first, but investing time in mastering your system will make you a better business owner in the long run.

    The Problem with Multiple Tools

When I first started, I was using ThriveCart for my cart, ConvertKit for emails, and ThriveCart Learn for my courses. All of these tools were great individually, but they didn’t integrate well together. I spent countless hours trying to link them, and it caused more problems than it solved.

In contrast, when I launched my Mini Course Method through Simple Funnels, everything worked smoothly from the start. I wasn’t juggling different tools or troubleshooting tech issues; I could just focus on growing my business.

    Support is Key

Another major issue with using different platforms was the lack of support. With ThriveCart, there was no 24-hour support, and the Facebook group didn’t offer much help either. When things went wrong, I had nowhere to turn.

That’s why I built 24/7 chat support directly into Simple Funnels. Not only can you get immediate help through the chat, but you can also schedule a 15-minute Zoom call with support if needed. This feature has been a game changer for my business, ensuring that I never feel stuck or alone when tech problems arise.

    Get Rid of the Clutter

Using one platform feels like decluttering your kitchen. I recently cleaned out my cupboards, getting rid of old mugs we no longer used. It was liberating to simplify my space and only keep what was essential. The same goes for your business.

I also went through my business expenses and canceled subscriptions to tools and apps I wasn’t using anymore. By cutting down on excess, I was able to save time and money, and my business runs much more smoothly now.

    Simplicity Scales, Complexity Fails

So, if you’re ready to simplify your business, here’s what you need to do:

    1. Write down all the features and tasks you need for your business.
    2. Find a platform that can handle most (if not all) of these needs.
    3. Commit to learning that platform, inside and out.

Simplicity is what will allow your business to grow. When your systems are streamlined, you can scale easily. On the other hand, complexity will only hold you back. Tech issues are unavoidable, but when you have one reliable platform that supports you, those issues become much easier to handle.

So, take it from me: save yourself the headaches, get rid of the clutter, and simplify your business with one platform that can do it all. Your future self will thank you for it.

    Final Thoughts

Remember, tech problems are inevitable, but they don’t have to slow you down. Simplifying your systems and using one reliable platform can transform your business, allowing you to grow without the stress and frustration of juggling multiple tools. Whether you choose Simple Funnels or another platform, make sure it meets your needs and gives you the support necessary to keep your business running smoothly. After all, simplicity scales, and complexity fails—every time.
