I hope you’re all doing well, and if you’re Florida like me, staying safe and prepared as the hurricane makes its approach. Before things get too stormy, I wanted to share my insights from an amazing in-person event I recently attended—Taylor Lee’s “Normalizing Millions Live” in sunny Orlando at The Ritz which was such a treat. It was truly a different experience compared to my usual online business routine, and I wanted to recap the incredible benefits of attending such events.
Networking Opportunities: Beyond Expectations
One of the most impactful takeaways from attending Taylor’s event was the networking possibilities it presented. Being in a room filled with like-minded individuals, all driven by the same entrepreneurial spirit, was invigorating. Everyone had a common thread—owning a business—and the conversations sparked by this shared interest were fascinating. From casual chats over lunch to longer discussions at dinner, I met people from various backgrounds—dietitians, parenting coaches, and more. Each interaction offered unique insights and little nuggets of wisdom that weren’t planned but naturally emerged from genuine connections.
Perfecting Your Business Pitch
Another unexpected benefit of participating in the event was refining my business pitch. In these settings, you’re often asked, “What do you do?” And while I previously might have rambled on for hours, in this context, I had to swiftly and clearly articulate my business, The Mini Course Method. This exercise in condensing my story helped me hone a succinct, natural explanation of my services, allowing me to present my brand and mission effectively and authentically.
Inspiration and Motivation: The Collective Energy
There’s nothing quite like the motivation that stems from being in a room with peers who openly share their business successes and strategies. Talking numbers and growth goals in such an inspiring environment fueled my ambition to achieve and sustain a six-figure month. This experience made these goals seem more attainable, seeing others doing it and feeling encouraged by their stories. It’s different from day-to-day interactions and pushes you to elevate your thought process and aspirations.
Just go for it
If you’ve never attended an in-person event, I highly recommend making it a staple in your yearly routine. The transformation extends beyond professional growth; it enriches personal relationships and widens your perspective. Whether it’s a big retreat or a local gathering, put yourself in the room. Let the energy of being surrounded by driven, innovative minds propel you forward, and watch how it might shift your mindset and enhance your business trajectory.
If you’ve attended Taylor’s retreat or any other similar events, I’d love to hear your stories! Feel free to DM me on Instagram with your experiences and insights. Take care, and stay inspired!
